New Guidelines, March 2010
In the past, except for overnight trips and whale watching which was not organized by me, I let everyone pay as they got on the bus.
This worked very well until the trip to the Yeguada last Saturday.
In the course of less than 24 hours, 7 people cancelled or did not show up without previously cancelling.
As I try to get the best deals for the bus, meals, entrances, etc. and to include tips for the bus driver, guides, and the
waiters on day trips, this left me having to ask everyone to contribute another euro apiece to cover the expenses.
This is not fair to those who participated and paid for their trip.
As a result, all trips, overnight and day, will have to be paid for in advance. The rules will be exactly the same as other
local clubs:
1. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before will not be refunded unless someone can be found to take the seat.
2. Payments can be made at Friday morning coffee hours at the Sultan Hotel or by making a deposit into a
Solbank account number which will be furnished. All payments must be made in advance so I have them
for the day of the trip.
I´m sorry to do this but I can no longer take all the responsibility for organizing a trip, budgeting it out, taking reservations,
confirming all emails and then have everything go wrong at the last moment.
