Rio Pereilas Valley, Monda

We leave the venta walking behind a small industrial building into the foot hills below Sierra Alpujata. We pass through avocado groves and almond trees until we reach the Mancha Valley with a view of the white cliffs of a dolomite quarry (dolomite is used in glass making and furnace linings). Turning away from the quarry we walk along the side of the valley looking down onto the river, Rio Pereilas, running through the rich fertile valley. We loop round and have a short incline after which we pass up through pine woods ending, eventually, back at our starting point.
